A Journey Since 1991
Salon Scissorworks began in 1991 when I opened the doors in my parents’ living room. At just 23, with six years of experience in the hair industry, I was eager to create a space for fellow stylists and clients alike.

On November 13, 1991, I officially launched the salon at our current location on Bonaventure Drive in Calgary. Inspired by my entrepreneurial parents, who supported my dream, I learned that pursuing a career you love makes work feel like a joy.

Starting with six stylists and three support staff, I’m proud to still have one of the original team members with us today. Over the years, three former team members returned, reflecting our salon’s welcoming environment.

Adapting Through the Years
As our salon evolved, we continually adapted to clients' needs and industry trends. Ongoing education for our team and refreshing our salon's décor have been vital in creating a vibrant atmosphere.

The challenges of the 2020 pandemic prompted us to launch our online store, Hair Care Canada, catering to the growing demand for professional products.

In 2023, we embraced new beginnings with exciting exterior renovations and a rebranding to Salon Scissorworks. I thrive on freshness and transformation!

What remains constant is my gratitude for our incredible team and the wonderful community of clients. The synergy we share is truly a blessing.
